BUDWEISER CLYDESDALES COME TO PARADE AT CEDAR POINT

On Jun. 12, to celebrate an end to prohibition Anheuser-Busch will have one of their five Clydesdale teams appear at Cedar Point Amusement Park/Resort in Sandusky, Ohio. This event is promoting the selling of Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, Mo. Make sure you save the date for this special occasion because the horses will only be at the park one day. The Clydesdale team will be showing from 1:30-2:00 p.m. and 2:30-3:00 p.m., free with park admission.

The day parade will be along the park's midway. The Clydesdale will travel along the midway from the Sky Ride to the front of the park before ending at the Wicked Twister roller coaster. The Clydesdales will also be on display near the Wicked Twister.
August Busch Jr., August Busch Sr. son, bought a new car and it was a team of Clydesdales. Anheuser-Busch initially used them in 1933 to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition. They currently serve as mascots for the Budweiser brand and make many appearances at events around the country.

The Clydesdale team consists of eight horses per team and two back-up horses. These great horses are considered “Draft” horses due to their particular build. The Clydesdales must stand at least 6 feet tall and weigh between 1800-2300 pounds. The horses normally eat 20-25 quarts of horse feed/grain, 50-60 pounds of hay, and 30 gallons of water. The horses will be pulling a vintage beer wagon. Theses horses are the best of the best. Millions of people every year see these magnificent horses.

Pro Quarterback, Brady Quinn, will also be making an appearance at the amusement park on Jun. 14. The park will have “Brady Quinn Day.” During his visit, Quinn, the third-year quarterback for the Browns, will hold a session for fans beginning at noon. Afterward, Quinn will pose for pictures until 1:15 p.m.
